WebMail enables you to perform attachment searches. The attachment search feature enables you to search for attachments in your email. This feature is available only when the search service is enabled at the back end. WebMail uses Indexing and Search Service for Oracle Communications Unified Communications Suite to index the attachments of your email. If enabled, a new folder named Attachments is created and is available on the left pane of mail tree.
You can perform the following actions for your attachments:
Open attachments
Save attachments
View messages
Send the attachment to other users
Use filters to search for attachments. See How Do I Search for an Attachment Using Filters?
To know more about actions that you can perform on your attachments, see What Actions Can I Perform on my Attachments?
You can view basic information about each attachment by clicking on the attachment. When you click an attachment, a callout is displayed with the following information:
Name of the attachment
Date and time the email was received
Name and email address of the user
Subject of the mail that contains this attachment
