How Can I Check my Mail Quota Usage for a Particular Folder?

To check the mail quota usage for a particular folder in your mail box, perform the following steps:

  1. Select the folder to check the quota usage and click on the folder properties icon from the mail toolbar.

Alternatively, right-click the folder to check the quota usage and select Folder Properties from the drop-down list of options.

The Folder Properties dialog box appears and displays the folder properties under two tabs: Info and Sharing. The folder properties are available under the Info tab:

    • Folder Name: Name of the folder selected.

You can change the folder name if you want to, by clicking on the Change button.

    • Messages: Number of messages in the folder.

    • Storage Use: Amount of memory usage by the folder. A bar chart indicates the mail quota of the selected folder.

      • A large shaded portion showing the total amount of quota used by all the folders. The overall mail quota.

      • A smaller shaded portion indicating the amount of memory used by the selected folder.

A legend is also provided at the bottom of this graph.

  2. Click Close to return to your mail.
