The address book module enables you to perform several operations on multiple contacts. For example, if to send a mail to multiple contacts, use the address book instead of opening the compose window in the Mail and typing the contacts manually.
The options are displayed when you select the contacts and right-click. To select multiple contacts, select the check box next to the contact. You can select multiple contacts by pressing the Ctrl (Cmd (Command) key for Mac OS users) key to select non sequential contacts, and the Shift key to select sequential contacts.
You can also select all contacts by clicking the check box provided at the top of the results area next to the Display Name button.
You can also deselect all the contacts by deselecting the check box provided at the top of the results area next to the Display Name button.
You can perform the following actions for multiple contacts on your address book.
Compose Mail To..: Select this option to send a mail to the selected contacts.
The compose mail tab appears in the Mail module. The selected contacts are added as recipients of the mail.
Invite to a New Event: Select this option to create an event with the contacts as invitees.
The New Event window appears in the Calendar module. The selected contacts are added as invitees of the event.
Remove From Group: This option is displayed only in the personal address books and groups created on your default account.
Print: Select this option to print contacts.
Note - You can only print contacts from your personal address book.
Export: Select this option to export your contact in a file.
